Sizing
Sizing is arguably the most nerve-wracking part with online shopping!
Never fear, this guide should help and if you happen to get it wrong, we will send a replacement to you at no extra charge (please see our Refund Policy for further details).
For each product, there is a sizing guide on that page. All product measurements have been taken laying flat.
There are a couple of options to decide your size:
1. Take one t-shirt, rash guard, leggings, etc that you already own and that you love the fit, and compare that to the sizing guides for a Diving Is Life product.
2. Measure yourself and compare that to the sizing guide for the Diving Is Life product that you’re interested in.
Leggings
1. Take a tape measure around your waist (cover your belly button) and write it down.
2. Place the tape measure around your hips (it’s the widest part of your body and will go over your backside / butt) and write that down.
3. Final measurement is from your crotch all the way to your ankles. This is the inseam.
4. Compare this to the product guide (these measurements are all with the product laying flat).
5. Decide if you prefer your leggings tight or a little bit loose.
If:
• your inseam is shorter than the product guide yet everything else fits, take that size as you can pull the legs up and they should fit well.
• your hip measurement is one size and your waist is the size smaller, take the size that fits your hips as that’s the biggest part of your body.
T-shirts and rash guards
1. Place a tape measure from armpit to armpit as your width.
2. Place the tape measure from your neck down to where you would like your t-shirt / rash guard to finish. This is the length.
3. Measure from the top of your shoulder to where you would like the sleeve to finish. That’s the sleeve length.
4. Final measurement for rash guards is the width of your neck - take the tape measure around your neck and halve it.
5. Decide if you would like your t-shirt or rash guard to be loose or tight fitting and compare your measurements to the product guide. Remember these guides are based on the product laying flat.
Racer-back crop top / sports bra
1. Measure from where you would like the back top of the product to start (see the picture for a guide) down to where you would like it to finish ensuring that you have enough support for whatever activity you are planning on wearing this. This is the back middle length from centre measurement.
2. Take your tape measure over your bust starting slightly beneath where you would like the arm hole. This is your 1/2 chest measurement (no need to go all around your body, just the front part).
3. Your final measurement is the width of the bottom opening of the crop top / sports bra so take it slightly under your bust (where you would like the product to end) and all the way around. Then halve it.
4. Decide if you would like your crop top / sports bra tight or a little bit loose and compare your measurements to those on the product guide. Remember these guides are based on the product laying flat.
5. If you are between sizes, order the size up for the most comfort. It may be a little loose in parts however that will be more comfortable than it being too tight.
